Let's talk drinks. Yes we love them. And every party should have some. (One fabulous tableau that comes to instantly to mind is the amazing martini bar that is a surprising and delightful feature of The Westmount in Woodland Park, NJ. Their ace bartenders create a panorama of martinis, served in elegant, oversized glasses and nothing says "great party ahead" like that! I'll have that chocolate one, please)
But there are all kinds of variations on 'signature drinks"; vodka flumes, artisanal and craft beer flights, and my personal fave, a prosecco bar (which is very easy to set up if you're in a venue that allows BYOB; more on that at a later date).
The point is this; a great, distinctive bar at your cocktail hour is a great welcome! (And sometimes, it can even be even be budget friendly!)
