I'm a practical girl; I think you should put your wedding budget where it will truly make the most difference; wonderful food, a great setting, hip drinks, great music (and of course, a fabulous New Jersey Wedding Minister....okay, you knew it was coming....). I"m not sure that wedding favors fit the bill. I am sure that a shot glass with the couple's name and date, a beer kookie or a tiny frame too small for anything but one eye and a nose will never see the light of day; it will be in a drawer forever (or until it hits Goodwill). As much as I love the idea of donating to a favorite charity, I feel that you should do that in private. I like edible favors; everyone does.
But one of the 'things' that can really enhance your wedding day is a team of the right professionals; great people with terrific tips and wonderful service. So that's my 'favor to you' for the next few months; Friday will showcase some of my favorite pros and their inside tips for getting things done, getting things right, getting things on your budget.
So happy New Year! We'l see you next week!
