I know, I know, it's Tuesday but time flies in January, plus it's WEDDING SHOWCASE SEASON!  (More about that next Monday!! ). So I'm behind... We had the pleasure of officiating at a fabulous wedding for one of our cool, cool couples  this weekend; the setting? The definition of 'fabulous'...the Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange, NJ.  It is well known as one of New Jersey's most  iconic settings for celebrations of all kinds, but 'fairytale wedding' comes to mind immediately as you enter through the gates and discover the secluded estate.  It really is magical and all the creative details they tuck into their weddings make each event so  memorable, grand and impressive but somehow intimate and personal, all at the same time.  It's a little like having a fabulous party at your personal estate. If you owned one.  Much of this magic can be traced right back to Fred Fogg, who oversees a warm and professional staff who make sure the evening runs seamlessly for you, your guests and all the professionals who contribute to the fun.

It is an almost overwhelming  (in a fabulous way!) experience  but I  noticed  two details from the cocktail hour that really set the tone for a delicious and exciting evening ahead! The first was a mozzarella station, complete with an accomplished, jovial chef twirling fresh mozzarella around the most delectable and visually stunning fillings. That station was jamming for the whole cocktail hour (despite some serious competition from all the other amazing and creative food). Caviar and finger-tip size blinis anyone?  Yes! That's me, behind the giant potted palm!

But.....wait for it.....then there was.....a Moscow Mule Bar!  Fully customizable  with different flavors and served in those adorable copper mugs.  Genius!  It's a stylish, trendy drink, the mugs are wintery and cute and judging from the number of people happily mingling with those mugs in their hands, it was a giant hit and a real conversation starter.  (And it kept the traffic at the bars to a minimum, which, to me, is the sign of a venue that really knows how to throw a great party! And this party?  It was all that.
Cheers!!! And congratulations to my couple; what a fantastic way to kick off the new year!!
