Michael Yelle was the officiant for our wedding. We met Michael and Celia at the end of a wedding "open house" in North Haledon. My family comes from Nigeria while my fiancee (now wife) is African American. I am Catholic and she is not. This was a uniting of cultures, families and religions. We wanted a ceremony that was conservative, religious, somewhat light-hearted. We also wanted to honor our parents . The kind of the officiant to be hired had been a source of contention between my fiancee and I. Our first conversation with Michael which I thought would last five minutes continued for about thirty minutes. He is so engaging and witty. A great story teller. We both walked out of the event saying "We want him for our wedding" Michael did not disappoint. We had further conversations as he got to know what we wanted. He always reminded us that the wedding was about "US". He gave us a timeline and homework :-). On or wedding day, he came over to calm our nerves, spoke to us like old friends and handled our ceremony as classy, professional and charming and we could ever have dreamed. Suffice to say, most of our guests were so impressed and wanted to find out more about Michael. It didn't end there, on our honeymoon, we received a very sweet e-mail from him that made my wife tear up. Celia and Michael were so responsive and professional to the point I had to look for excuses why I was not getting back to them on time. My wife and family will be forever grateful for the way you told our story and joined us together. You guys ROCK!!
